I wanted to take a look at how country rankings for the UNDP’s Gender Development Index and Gender Inequality Index have changed over time. Fortunately, the UNDP has an API to query the data directly, so I wouldn’t need to scrape pdfs or websites. Unfortunately, I had never done anything with RESTful APIs or JSON
